The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has announced the deadlines for submission documents for the export of grains to the People’s Republic of China

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has announced the deadlines for submission documents for completing lists of exporters of barley, corn, and soybeans to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for a year 2024. This became known from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine letter dated April 16th, 2024.

During the meeting between the representatives of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China Embassy and the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, the issue of grain export from Ukraine was discussed. The Chinese side announced changes in the procedure of internal inspection rules, particularly the introduction of an internal additional audit, which increases the period of registration for enterprises up to two months.

Taking into account these changes and in order to comply with the deadlines for documents submission, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection sent a letter to the Ukrainian agricultural associations, agricultural producers and other market operators on May 10th, 2024, with the following deadlines for providing information:

· Until July 29th, 2024, to form a List of Organisations planning to export barley to the People’s Republic of China and a List of Storage Facilities from which barley Exports to the People’s Republic of China are Planned.

· By October 15th, 2024, to form a Lists of Organisations planning to export corn and soybeans to the People’s Republic of China and Lists of Storage Facilities from which corn and soybeans Exports to the People’s Republic of China are Planned.

· From December 17 to 24, 2024, to correct information about legal entities already included in the Lists if any.

Early-registered exporters will be able to export to China without hindrance, which will avoid delays during customs procedures and downtime of vessels on the high seas
