On February 12, 2024, at the initiative of I.P.Cert LLC in cooperation with Sumy National Agrarian University, a Roundtable discussion on “Implementation of regenerative practices in Ukraine” was held. The event was attended by representatives of the teaching staff, scientists, agricultural producers, consultants and advisors from different regions of Ukraine.
The participants drew conclusions from the Roundtable and emphasized the importance of joint efforts of all agricultural sectors and research institutions to achieve sustainable development of the agricultural sector and environmental protection.
Mykola Bykov, agronomy advisor and moderator of the event, said:
“Regenerative agriculture aims not only to “do no harm”, but also to improve, restore and heal the soil and the environment.”
Oksana Prosolenko, Director of I.P.Cert LLC, also took the floor during the discussion and noted:
“The development of Ukraine’s agricultural business is already closely linked to sustainable production approaches. Recently, biodiversity has been gaining new importance in the agricultural industry. The product quality from every particular field is increasingly transparently tracked to the consumer shelf. And here, our responsible steps become part of the trade requirements of supply chains. It is important to take concrete steps to preserve and restore biodiversity.”
